When items are recycled to the proper processing facilities, the possibility of those items ending up in our oceans is greatly reduced.
Use only the water you need. Take shorter showers and turn off the water when you're not actively using it. The less water used reduces the wastewater polluting our oceans.
Check where your seafood comes from and if it's caught sustainably. Sustainable line fishing results in less bycatch by targeting specific species and prevents overfishing.
Use mineral-based sunscreens or physical sun protectors like sun or swim shirts. Avoid sunscreens with oxybenzone or octinoxate listed as active ingredients.
Volunteer in local beach, watershed, or reef cleanups to remove trash and plastic that accumulates along coastlines.
Start the conversation. Talk with your family and friends about the effects of climate change on coral reefs.
Find an organization that resonates with you and help them keep our Earth green, oceans blue, and coral reefs alive.
